Complex estate administration involving tracing of beneficiaries

Acted in the winding up of a large and complex intestate estate (where the deceased had not made a will) which required locating and tracing several distant relatives, one of whom had since died. Ensured the estate was administered in the most tax efficient way, which significantly reduced the overall tax liability.

Cross-jurisdictional issues in estate administration

Acted in the administration up of an estate where the deceased was domiciled overseas which involved the resealing of Commonwealth Grants of Representation and applying for Grants of Representation in England & Wales.

Court of Protection

Acted for clients whose mother had lost capacity and their father had passed away unexpectedly. Applied to Court of Protection for an order appointing the clients as their mother’s deputies enabling them to manage her finances and to administer their late father’s estate.
