Tim joined Bower Bailey as a trainee solicitor in March 2019. He qualified into the clinical negligence team in the firm’s Oxford office in March 2021. He holds a law degree from the University of Warwick and a master’s degree with distinction from the University of Oxford.
Tim specialises in assisting clients who have suffered injuries and losses as a consequence of substandard medical treatment. Tim has extensive knowledge in relation to clinical negligence claims. He has co-authored a chapter in the leading clinical negligence textbook, “Clinical Negligence”, by Dr Michael Powers KC and Anthony Barton.

Tim has a particular interest in the use of scientific literature in bringing and defending clinical negligence claims – how the research evidence can inform best practice and answer questions of causation. Tim is adept at locating, appraising and assimilating the best research evidence to answer the clinical questions that arise in his cases, a skill unique to a litigator.
Personal interests
In his spare time Tim enjoys playing sports. He plays for the firm’s 5-a-side football team and his Oxford college’s cricket team.
