Jenni, qualified as a solicitor in 1985. She previously worked for Morgan Cole (now Blake Morgan) for over 25 years where she was head of the family law team until she opted for a career change and moved into risk and compliance. She joined Bower Bailey in 2014 as the firm’s Risk & Compliance Manager.
Jenni guides and assists the partners and lawyers in meeting the firm’s regulatory and legislative requirements. As a former fee earner herself, Jenni appreciates the pressures of client work and deadlines. Her approach to compliance is pragmatic: she is able to draw on her extensive past experience and knowledge to try and find practical solutions for everyone in the firm to meet their compliance obligations. This enables the lawyers to focus on what they do best which is continuing to deliver an excellent client service.
In addition to the SRA Code of Conduct and related legislation, Jenni has particular expertise in accreditations (having put in place the necessary policies and procedures for Morgan Cole’s award of Lexcel) and now assists Bower Bailey in meeting the requirements of the Law Society’ Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation. She is also the firm’s deputy MLRO and has developing expertise in the risks posed by cyber-crime.
Personal interests
Outside work Jenni enjoys participating in various sports including hockey, running, cycling and swimming. She also enjoys travelling, particularly in Africa.
