Daniel, who is based in the Swindon office, joined the firm in as a trainee solicitor, qualified in 1998 and was made a partner in 2003. He has developed considerable expertise in both commercial and residential property work and has extensive experience across a very wide range of property related matters. Daniel has strong relationships with key individuals and organisations across the property field in both sectors (commercial/residential) and is well known locally amongst property agents and professionals.

Daniel is an expert conveyancer who is held in high regard by his clients and peers. In particular, his straightforward, pragmatic and down to earth approach makes him very popular with clients and has created a loyal following both locally and further afield. As well as handling a high volume of routine conveyancing work for people moving home (typically leasehold and freehold sales and purchases) Daniel also acts for a large number of investors buying and selling throughout the country.

In addition to being recognised for his residential work, Daniel is highly experienced in commercial property matters, advising extensively on commercial property disposals and acquisitions, business leases (for both landlord and tenant), development work, refinancing and business asset sales/purchases.

  • Completed a residential investment purchase within three days of being instructed before the increase in stamp duty land tax rates.
  • Negotiated terms and completed a lease extension for a residential flat.
  • Completed on a purchase of a mixed use property to deadline with bridging finance, dealing with a lease of the commercial element and subsequent refinancing.
  • Formation of new leases and subsequent sales on a development project.
  • A very complex SIPP acquisition of a sports club and subsequent commercial agreement with an adjoining school culminating in a sell-off of playing fields with the benefit of residential planning permission to a major developer.
  • Compiled a legal package for the auction of part of a complex title with planning permission for high value dwellings.
  • Acted on the purchase of woodland and sporting rights over a country estate.

Personal interests:

Outside the office, Daniel loves to travel when possible and enjoys visiting new places, at home and abroad. Daniel enjoys the outdoors and especially wild places; he is a very keen off-piste skier and enjoys hiking, water-sports and fishing. Now that he’s hung up his boots he also enjoys following rugby.
