Rob Brookes

Rob is an experienced corporate lawyer who heads up our Company and Commercial department. He has an in-depth knowledge of company and commercial law gained from advising businesses and individuals in a wide range of commercial sectors. 

Rob advises on acquisitions, disposals, mergers, reorganisations and a wide range of other company and commercial matters including:

  • Shareholders' agreements and share schemes;
  • Joint ventures and finance transactions;
  • LLP’s and partnership law;
  • Terms and conditions of supply and sale;
  • Agency and distribution agreements;
  • General commercial contracts;
  • Intellectual property and IT; and
  • Non-contentious employment matters.

Rob joined the firm in 2004 and previously spent six years working for commercial practices in Warsaw and Birmingham. Whilst primarily based in our Banbury Office, Rob also frequently operates out of our other offices to meet clients’ requirements.

Examples of his recent work include:

  • Acting for the management on a £2m MBO part financed by an Enterprise Finance Guarantee Loan;
  • Acting for the buyer on the purchase of an Independent School;
  • Advising the shareholders on the disposal of a UK advertising network to an American based acquirer;
