Mary is an experienced property lawyer and has broad range of expertise in both commercial and residential property transactions. Mary qualified as a solicitor in 2005, joined Bower Bailey 2007 and became a partner in 2015. Before entering into legal practice Mary had a successful career in the public sector as a scientist operating in a strategic development role at national level within the National Blood Service.

Mary is known for being both proactive and pragmatic with a reputation for delivering consistently high standards of client service.

  • Acted for a property owner granting rights for a solar company to lay and maintain equipment on agricultural land.
  • Completed the estate set up of a mixed development of 10 converted and newly constructed flats and subsequent plot sales.
  • Acted for the trustees of six individual SIPPs in the transfer of three commercial properties to a new pension scheme.
  • Acted for a large bank in respect of the funding of a customer’s purchase of a leasehold industrial unit and simultaneous occupational lease back to customer’s trading company.
  • Acted for a developer on the option agreement for the development of residential land.
  • Acted for a large bank lender in connection with the refinancing of an equestrian facility subject to multiple tenancies.
  • Completed the sale of agricultural land involving overage provisions.

Personal interests:

Mary enjoys being outdoors as much as possible when she is not in the office. She is a keen horse rider, cyclist and walker and enjoys foreign travel particularly to places where she can go scuba diving.
