Compensation claim for losses suffered as a result of defective construction of flat
Acted for the owner of a flat whose property was damaged as a result of defective construction. The developer denied liability but settled shortly before trial. The flat was repaired and the client recovered his lost rental income in full.
Defence of claim and counter-claim on behalf of builder
Defended a significant claim against a builder where the claimants were requesting replacement products from another supplier and compensation for delay. Not only was the defence successful but also the counter-claim.

Advised a client under the Exceptional Hardship Scheme due to the planned route of HS2 which runs close to Banbury. In outline, the scheme may enable eligible property owners to claim compensation or to sell their property to the Government, depending on the property location and which phase of HS2 affects them.
