Simon joined Bower Bailey on qualifying and set up the Swindon office in 1985. He was senior partner from January 2016 to May 2023.

Simon’s specialism is in property related work. With over 35 years of experience, he has an extensive knowledge in his field and is able to advise on any matter, large or small. He currently does a lot of work with developers in site acquisitions through an assembly of option agreements, conditional contracts and promotion agreements. He tries to offer a pragmatic and cost effective solution when dealing with even the most complicated of problems.

  • Acted for landowners in negotiating a complex option agreement for a motorway service station.
  • Acted in the purchase of a large office block subsequently converted to residential flats and preparing the site documentation for their eventual sale.
  • Acquisition of numerous sites for a car dealership in a high value transaction with many interrelated issues to consider.
  • Acted for an overseas bank in securing a multi-million pound loan on a number of residential dwellings in central London.
